Mrs. jamie Pekras

Ms. Pekras was born and raised in San Diego. She is thrilled to begin her eighth year at Integrity this year and is so excited to support teachers and students in their learning. She will be an instructional lead teacher, and a reading and writing teacher in 4th grade! 

Ms. Pekras attended San Diego State University for her Bachelors degree and teaching credential. She started her teaching career in the Bay Area at East Palo Alto Charter School teaching 1st-3rd grades. Her heart and home always remained in San Diego, so she returned for her fifth year of teaching and continued her career at a charter school called Thrive. She taught first and second grade. For her ninth year of teaching, she found Integrity to be her new home away from home. This will be her 16th year in education!

Teaching is a passion for Ms. Pekras. She especially loves teaching reading and writing. This year she will be supporting student growth and teacher development. Her hope is to ignite some passion for learning and to create a strong community of scholars.

When she is not teaching, she spends time with her family. She has a seven year old daughter named Emmalyse (Emmy) and a two year old named Emilia (Mills). They love to explore the city, travel, take bike rides, and cook dinners together.
