Ms. Briana Awad

Ms. Awad is a 1st grade teacher at ICS. She recently moved to San Diego from Kansas City! She taught 1st grade for 6 years in Kansas City and is excited to be joining the ICS team for her 7th year of teaching. Ms. Awad loves to make learning fun and engaging for her students. She enjoys adding songs, chants, and different movements and motions into her teaching. She can’t wait to meet her new students and build strong relationships with each of them.

Ms. Awad completed her undergraduate degree at Pittsburg State University and received her Master’s in Reading Education from Grand Canyon University. When she’s not at school, you’ll find Ms. Awad at the beach, a coffee shop, enjoying nature, hanging out with her family, traveling the world, and cheering on her favorite team: The Kansas City Chiefs!
