Physical Education Teacher
Brenda Ramos is the physical education teacher at ICS and the kids call her Coach B. She was born and raised in sunny San Diego! She grew up playing sports since she was five years old. She was offered a college softball scholarship for a catcher position but then broke her ankle her senior year. She then returned the following school year as an adult to coach the JV softball team and discovered her passion for coaching. She graduated from SDSU and then worked as a youth sports coach at organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, and private leagues.
She then earned her teaching credential in physical education as an intern while teaching for two years. She has been teaching for three years. She strives to support her students to reach their goals by focusing on teamwork and sportsmanship skills. At the end of the class, she teaches her students that “it's just a game” and there will always be opportunities for improvement.
In her free time, she likes to hang out with her family, friends, and dobermann. She likes to play and watch sports, go to the beach, swim, cook, and recently got into photography.
