Ms. Silvia Oliveros

Silvia Oliveros has a strong connection with National City since it is the community she grew up in. She values the diverse cultures and languages that make up the community and advocates for a multicultural and multilingual learning environment. She believes that this will lead to an inclusive environment that values its members' diversity.

Ms.Oliveros received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Spanish, cum laude, as well as a Multiple Subject Bilingual Teaching Credential from San Diego State University (SDSU) in 2017. She recently graduated from SDSU with her Master of Arts in Teaching in Reading and Language Arts.

Ms.Oliveros was one of the 5th grade teachers at Integrity Charter School for the past five years. This 2022-2023 school year, Ms.Oliveros will be supporting K-8 students in English Language Development (ELD). She is excited about this new opportunity to serve her community since she knows she will reach many more students. Her goal is to ensure that all of our English Language Learners develop proficiency in academic English and have equitable access to a standards-based English Language Development (ELD) instructional program.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her one year old baby, Sebastian, at museums, Seaworld, the Zoo and much more! When Sebastian falls asleep, she enjoys taking time to reflect through writing and likes to read realistic fiction books.
