Melanie Jose

Hello, my name is Melanie Jose and I am an Intervention Teacher supporting students in Language Arts and Math in grades 6-8. I graduated c/o 2000 from Zama American High School in Japan, in 2005, I received my BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Children and Family Studies from San Francisco State University, and in 2008, I obtained my Teaching Credential at CSU, East Bay in Hayward. During Spring 2017, I completed the Reading Instruction Certificate program with UC San Diego.

My Favorite Things To Do: I love dancing. As a child, I was trained in jazz, tap, ballet, hula, and hip-hop. I was also a dancer for a non-profit youth outreach program called Culture Shock while living in the Bay Area. I love cleaning. Organizing and burning calories at the same time is very therapeutic for me. I love reading books about faith. I enjoy reflecting and having conversations about this subject. I love spending time with my family. My husband and I have 4 kids and enjoy getting together with our growing families.
