Mrs. Alexa Griffith

Seventh Grade Teacher - Language Arts and Social Studies

Born and raised in San Diego, Mrs. Griffith is a graduate of Eastlake High School, San Diego State University, and Point Loma Nazarene University. She earned a BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Literature. She then earned her MA in Educational Leadership. This will be her 7th year teaching at ICS. As a life-long learner, she aspires to earn her Doctorate in Education one day.

Being a wife and mother of three keeps her pretty busy. Outside of work, she enjoys walks on the beach, exploring new places, an occasional game of tennis, and watching football. Go Packers!

When it comes to favorites, Mrs. Griffith has a sweet tooth! Her favorite candy is BabyRuth or Big Kat. She is easily bribed with cookies, particularly snickerdoodles! Her favorite time of the day is when she is with students. She feels fortunate to have the opportunity to impact, influence, and support students in becoming all they can dream of and more.

She’s sure this school year is going to include lots of learning, laughing, and memory making. She believes school is a place to learn, grow, and be yourself! She looks forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting newcomers, reconnecting, and building community together.
