Melanie Jose

Hello, my name is Melanie Jose and I am an Intervention Teacher supporting students in Language Arts and Math in grades 6th – 8th

I graduated from Zama American High School in Japan in 2000, received my BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Children and Family Studies at San Francisco State University in 2005, and I obtained my Teaching Credential at CSU, East Bay in Hayward in 2008.  I am currently enrolled at UCSD, where I am completing the Reading Instruction Certificate program.

More About Me:

Birthday: December 12
Birthplace: Honolulu, HI

Siblings: I have 2 older brothers and 1 sister

My Favorite Things To Do: I love dancing.  As a child, I was trained in jazz, tap, ballet, hula, and hip-hop.  I was also a dancer for a non-profit youth outreach program called Culture Shock while living in the Bay Area.  I love cleaning.  Organizing and burning calories at the same time is very therapeutic for me.  I love reading books about faith.  I enjoy reflecting and having conversations about this subject.  I love spending time with my family.  My husband and I have 3 kids and enjoy getting together with each other's growing family.
